Nutritional Counseling in Jackson, Michigan
Food is part of the journey too. Dr. David and Dr. Moriah Severance help you eat in a way that supports the vibrant life you deserve.
Nutrition as Part of Your Wellness Journey
Dr. David Severance and Dr. Moriah Severance each carry a naturopathic doctor (ND) degree alongside their chiropractic training, which is why food comes up in almost every conversation at our Jackson office. Working side by side as husband and wife, they blend the principles of traditional and modern healthcare, so an adjustment and a grocery list belong to one plan rather than two separate appointments. A nutrition visit begins as a conversation about what you eat now, what your days ask of your body, and how you want to feel a year from now. You go home with changes that fit your own kitchen and the time you actually have. Where the picture is unclear, we may suggest one of our specialty tests to see what is going on underneath, and professional grade supplements when food alone cannot close a gap.
- Guidance from two doctors who hold naturopathic degrees beside their chiropractic ones
- A first conversation built around your kitchen, your schedule and your goals
- Changes you can keep up with at home, revisited as your body responds
- Testing and supplements suggested only when they add something for you

Common Questions
When can I come in for a nutrition visit?
Our Jackson office is open Tuesday and Thursday from 8am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 1pm, and nutrition visits are booked into those same hours. The Saturday morning slots suit patients driving in from Spring Arbor, Grass Lake, Michigan Center and Brooklyn who would rather not give up a workday. You can book online whenever it suits you, or call the office and we will find a time together.
Do I have to be a chiropractic patient to see you about nutrition?
No. Plenty of people come to Dr. David or Dr. Moriah for nutrition on its own and are welcome to. If you are already under chiropractic care here, the same two doctors handle both sides of your plan, so nothing has to be explained twice.
Will you ask me to change everything I eat?
No. We usually begin with two or three changes you can genuinely keep, then build on them at later visits. A plan you abandon in two weeks has not helped you, so the pace is yours to set and we adjust it as your body responds.
